*This post is in partnership with Sézane but all opinions are my own.
I have amassed quite a collection of outdoor furniture over the years. Much of it is secondhand, pieces I’ve picked up at thrift stores or found on Facebook Marketplace. There is less concrete to cover with seating in this backyard than there was at our last house, but I still love so many of the sets and wanted to hold onto them. Instead of keeping it all near the house, I thought it would be fun to tuck tables and chairs and benches into the woods.
This little set with the Greek key details could probably use a paint job, but I don’t mind the chippy look. It allows it to stand out in the midst of all of the green without being too high contrast. One of the reasons I thought it would be fun to place seating throughout Three Pastures was to encourage rest. To give reason for slowing down, taking a seat, and enjoying the landscape. By nature I want to “do,” and there is so much to be done when you live on land. But this calls us to sit, connect, reflect.
Sézane is one of my favorite clothing brands, and I had no idea they also had a home line. (The lamps are out of this word!) I picked a few pieces that are perfect for a relaxing afternoon in the shade.

I have a few more sets to place, but I’m loving the surprises amongst the trees. Have you ever placed outdoor furniture like this? Do you use it?
