Here’s proof that red, white and blue doesn’t have to solely be a summer color palette. I designed this entryway to feel classic year-round, bringing in a big gold statement mirror and letting the red play more subtly in a smaller-scale, striped wallpaper. The other key: varying shades of muted blues in the lampshade, artwork and rug. Natural wood tones (an antique chest, for example) and woven accents (baskets, trays, etc.) would also mix in well with this design.
