Switching out bedding is the simplest way to transform the entire mood of the bedroom while also being the best alternative to decorating for the changing season. It’s like being hugged by the colors and textures of the new season- what could be a more cozy way to welcome fall! I’ve partnered with Target to feature some of my favorite picks from Threshold’s Fall Collection, all shown here giving our bedroom a moody textural update with a few simple changes.

This dark and rich olive green color and quilted velvet texture combo is fall for me. It’s the perfect mix of luxurious and livable, and the additional layer brings a lot more warmth for the colder months. The quilt and pillow covers are all I added to our bedding and it’s doing everything to transform the space. I considered adding another decorative pillow, but instead prefer letting the quilt and pillows remain as the focus. The simplicity isn’t boring because of the beautiful sheen and diamond quilted pattern!

A casually draped throw blanket is an all time favorite accessory. It’s inviting, functional, adds more beautiful texture, and can go anywhere in the home. I love the subtle windowpane pattern woven into this blanket and the warm neutral tones that go with anything.

Seasonal florals and foliage are another all time favorite accessory and what I consider necessary for seasonal decorating. I’m leaning a lot more on using faux stems for the ease and longevity, and the vibrant red and orange color of these hazel leaf stems complements the green bedding so beautifully. I have two stems here in a large ceramic vase with a very on trend curvy silhouette and earthenware finish. It pairs perfectly with the arched ceramic vase next to it that could also hold a stem, but I love the way it looks on its own.
