This metal tray glam up just goes to show you can change up just about anything with paint and pretty transfers!

Hello beautiful friends!!

I hope your week has been wonderful so far! Feels like we are back in our heatwave after finally having some cooler temps, boo! But that’s okay, cooler weather will be here soon enough, right?
Today I’m sharing a little makeover I did a week or so ago. Just a simple little metal tray glam up!

Remember all of these smalls I found?

Metal Tray Glam Up – Artsy Chicks Rule®

I’ve done, let’s see, 6 of these so far!

In case you missed any, you can see them right here:

And today’s makes 6!

It started out looking like this…

Kind of boring! Sort of looks like it was painted a lighter color and sponged (or similar) with a darker color.

We are going to change ALL of that! lol

I began by cleaning it up, as usual. Then I used a primer spray to give it a good base and cover that dark.

Next, I sanded a little because spray paint, especially some primers and leave a slightly bumpy finish.

And I wanted it nice and smooth!

After that, I painted it with one coat of Victorian Lace.

Once dry, I added another one of the transfers that I used on this project too.

I decided to cut out the frame area since it didn’t fit well inside the flat area of the tray.

And done! Isn’t that so pretty??

Well, done with the transfer anyway. I then gave it a protective coat using our Matte Topcoat Tough Coat. (it’s out of stock at the moment, but we have more on the way!)

For the metal scrolled “feet”, I decided to make them a similar color as the leaves and words in the transfer above.

I just mixed colors that I thought would work until I came up with something close.

That’s it, she’s all glammed up now!

A pretty addition just about anywhere.

And I just love this transfer set! With 4 minis, it is perfect for your smaller projects.
