This metal tray makeover was so simple with paint and transfers…it went goth to glam effortlessly!
Hello beautiful and crafty friends!
I hope you are having a fabulous summer! We are busy, busy over here! What’s new? haha!
Today I’m sharing a metal tray that’s part of that “smalls” haul I have been sharing.
I’ve done quite a few of them already! Want to see them? Check them out here…
The dark oval tray on the right side of the bench is today’s makeover.
Not very exciting as it is!
So let’s glam it up!
I began by cleaning it up with some TSP Alternative. Then gave it a couple of coats of Victorian Lace.
This pretty “gilded” floral transfer is going in the middle.
Since the flowers are gilded with gold, I decided to paint the handles with gold and all of the “rivets” too.
Once the transfer was done I applied a coat of Tough Coat Topcoat in Matte all over.

Done!
Goth to glam, for sure!
This looks to me like something I’d use in a bathroom to hold things. What do you think?
Up close of the gold details.
Such a SIMPLE makeover! But a completely different look!

A quick, easy little makeover today! Anyone can do. Transfers and gold paint kick it up a notch!
Would you ever even think it was the same tray?? No way!
