This year I went vintage and understated for Christmas in the dining room. I got a small, live tree and stuffed it into a pot of floral foam and then set that in this outdoor urn. I strung 300 twinkle lights, then added vintage ornaments. Many of them were my grandma Rose’s, who passed away over a decade ago. She was very thrifty, and some of the ornaments are only functional because of some scotch tape repairs. The rest were thrifted. From shiny brights to beaded satin, they all have character and a story, which is why I love them so much! I thrifted the candle holders from a German couple’s estate sale and found the candles at another sale the same day. I lit them to snap these pictures, but what a mess (and fire hazard)!
